Data Correction/Fix Request

A student, whose SEVIS record was terminated for authorized early withdrawal based on a leave of absence request may request for a correction of their SEVIS record. You may request a data fix to reactive the record in SEVIS. The P/DSO can submit a Help Desk Ticket (data fix) to the SEVIS Help Desk for processing and approval.

Please be prepared to upload the following:
  • Travel Itinerary (copy of flight itinerary to the U.S.)
  • Proof of Visa Interview (if applicable)
  • Copy of your current F-1 Visa (or I-797 Notice of Action)

Please note, SEVP may request that a school official send additional information to adjudicate a correction or data fix. ISSS will send you an email to request for additional evidence or information if this applies to you.

​Please note the actual review and approval of the data fix is completed by SEVP. The processing of the data fix can only occur 30-60 days from the start date of the semester you wish to resume full-time in person attendance. Please allow at least 10-15 business days after submission of your request before contacting the ISSS office for the status of your request.
